Summer league season is cancelled.
As we mentioned in previous communications, youth softball is still not cleared for games under the Stay Safe MN plan. With no firm date as to when games will be cleared and getting later and later into the summer season, Minnesota Softball has made the decision to cancel the summer league season and move forward with planning for the fall season. More on that in a minute.
Our summer plan - response needed by June 10 @ noon.
RAAA Softball started up our practices this past Monday, in pods of 10. We will continue our practice program led by our volunteer coaches through June 25 with a few modifications.
Our established social distancing and sanitization procedures will remain in place; however, starting June 10, we will move into pods of 25 in accordance with the Stay Safe MN Guidance for Social Distancing in Youth Sports. This will allow all players for each age group to practice together, at the same time. It also changes our previously-communicated arrival and practice times. Those changes are detailed below.
We will offer this June practice program for $20 per player:
If you choose to participate, you will receive a full refund of your 2020 summer registration fees minus $20 for the June practices.
If you choose not to participate, you will receive a full refund of your 2020 summer registration fees.
To sum it up, you can get 2 practices a week through June 25 for just $20, which will help cover the cost of field rental and sanitizing supplies.
Please complete this form by noon on Wednesday, June 10 to indicate your choice and initiate the refund process.
