2nd Place at MOA Nationals

The Crow River Revolution 14U Gray softball team participated in the 2018 Mall of America 14U A National Championship Tournament held in Chisago Lakes, MN July 28-29.

The Rev went 3-2 in bracket play (4-3 overall), earning them a 2nd place finish.  Their only losses on the weekend were to the eventual champions, Andover Rak.

Pool play started off strong with a 13-0 win over the MN Force Giere.  The Rev's first loss of the weekend came in game 2 against Andover Rak.  A close call at first in the early innings, resulted in the go ahead runs scoring for Andover and the Rev were unable to mount a comeback.

Bracket play started with a 6-5 win against Stillwater Red.  Rev then faced Mahtomedi.  Again, one run was the difference between a win and a loss and the Rev came out on top with a 10-9 win.  Using the momentum from the previous games the Rev faced off with Andover Rak again.

The Rev was unable to string together the offensive attack and fell short a second time 9-1.  Facing elimination with their next loss, the Rev responded well in their next game against the St. Paul North Area Rookies Blue with another exciting 5-4 victory to put them into the championship game.

The Rev faced Andover Rak, for the third time.  Again, unable to mount the offense needed, the Rev fell 10-2.
