Thanks to our parent volunteers, we are able to run our program efficiently with less costs and use fundraising events to keep our registration fees lower.
For the 2024 season parents will complete 2 required shifts. One will be July 12th - 14th at the 14U State Qualifier. The 2nd shift will be from a choice of several different options.
As part of registration, you must submit a $300 volunteer deposit check to the RAAA Softball Board before your child can practice with her team. If all volunteer shifts are completed in the season, your deposit check will not be cashed.
This year, we are providing a buy out option at registration. If you choose to pay the $300 buy out fee ($500 family max), we will use the money collected to pay workers to cover shifts as needed.
For 6U, we will not require a deposit or opt-out fee, but we ask each family to fulfill one volunteer shift.
Volunteer checks will be collected at the following events:
Players will NOT get uniform or be able to play in games until checks are received.
Checks will be collected but not cashed unless you are unable to fulfill your volunteer requirements.
See the Volunteer page for full details of our volunteer requirements.

If you would like to coach this season, indicate your interest on your player’s registration. Interested coaches will meet with the Softball Board prior to the season, and coaches are finalized by the Softball Board with the following qualifications in mind:

We offer in-house programs at the 6U and 8U age levels in the East Wright County Fastpitch League co-operation with St. Michael/Albertville, Rogers/Otsego, Buffalo, Hanover and Delano. Our house programs offer an introduction to softball skills in a more relaxed environment.
We offer a travel fastpitch experience at the 8U, 10U and 12U age levels. Our travel teams play in the Big West Fastpitch League. Communities in this league include our immediate surrounding area and the Twin Cities metro area. Generally league games are played in Rockford and the northwest suburb area (as an example, Buffalo, St. Michael, Rogers, Delano, Princeton, Maple Grove, Minnetonka, Orono, Wayzata, Mound could be one example of travel games). Our travel program offers a more competitive experience while still teaching fundamentals of softball and leadership skills.
